Description
Carn Todden Terrace (also known as Coastguard Row) was originally lived in by the coastguards, who watched Mounts Bay for ships in distress; consequently there are wonderful sea views of the Bay, Mousehole harbour and village. The cottage also has fantastic views of the Island and the famous Mousehole Christmas lights.
It is situated in a quiet location on a footpath in Mousehole within a few minutes walk from the harbour shops and restaurants. There is ample parking nearby.
Mousehole is within easy reach of Land's End, St Michael's Mount, Penzance, Gardens, Art Galleries, Mines and sites of Archaeological interest, the Minack open air-cliff top theatre as well as many places of children's entertainment such as Flambard Theme park.
There is a good bus service from Mousehole,bus stops are within a few minutes walk of the cottage.
Penzance hasa Daily Service to the Scilly Isles by Ferry.
This property offers one double bedroom and one bunk bedroom. Bathroom includes shower, wash basin and toilet.
Ground floor outside toilet.
Separate lounge and kitchen/diner. The lounge has original exposed granite wall with a log burner, easy chairs and T.V.
The kitchen has electric cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer and a spin dryer.
A good launderette is conveniently situated near the station in Penzance.
Moushole enjoys the facilities of a an excellent Village pub, appropriately named The Ship., which along with the Hotel and several restaurants serve delicious meals and Traditional Cornish Pasties. There are several shops selling Arts and Crafts and Souvenirs as well as a village grocery shop.
There is A British Legion which welcomes visitors to their bar and social functions.
Mousehole has a wonderful Male Voice Choir (over 50 strong), which you may be lucky enough to hear performing on the beach or in the Methodist Church.
Looking out to sea on a Sunday morning you will see the famous Mousehole Lifeboat carrying out it's regular training session.
Most visitors pay their respects to the Lifeboat Memorial situated on the main road, just outside the village.
There is a NO PETS policy.
NO SMOKING IN the Cottage.
There is a small patio garden at the front of the cottage with seating.
A larger garden is situated a few metres down a footpath, suitable for BBQs (BBQ kept in storage shed) , with table and chairs suitable for family meals and a lawn for sunbathing or leisure.Beautiful sea views from this garden, watch the ships sail by.
Carpets, shower, furniture throws and television have recently been updated. .
Linen can be hired, although most visitors bring their own.
There is Free parking on the road within easy walking distance of cottage. Also secure charged Car Parks nearby.
Bicycles can be hired in Penzance and a wide footpath/cycle track connects Mousehole to Penzance.
A causeway can be used to walk to St. Michael's Mount from Marazion OR go by boat to walk up the Mount and visit the Castle.

Mousehole is a fishing port and village in south west Cornwall, England. It is popular with tourists, attracted by its 'traditional Cornish fishing village' harbour and appearance, and is not far from Paul, Newlyn, Penzance, Lamorna, and Madron and is one of over 250 towns or villages in Cornwall in which Go2 has cottages or holidays lets available. The nearest designated cities are Truro (population 20,920), Plymouth (population 243,795), and Exeter (which has a population of 106,772 according to the 2001 Census).
